To publicly update:

I am now taking the TEFL course to become a certified ESL teacher. The workload is INSANE but I’ll be done in 2.5 weeks, at which point I plan to return to life from a zombie state.

About Leilah Feinstein

I'm a 20 year old student from Boston, Massachusetts. I am a writer, a musician, and a lover of culture and human studies. I am taking this trip to volunteer in Peru in order to understand how humans live in a different part of the world than my own. I am fascinated by the many things that shape societies; geography, money, art, history, religion, etc. I'm also fascinated by the act of BECOMING on an individual scope; I am infinitely intrigued by childhood development and what shapes us. I believe that we must raise our children to seek and learn about themselves and others creating life-long awareness. Only in this way can peace be achieved! I will work my whole life to understand our common humanity and our differences. Upon my return to the US I will study to become a teacher, and I will always implement what I learn from others in my teaching. I am keeping this journal to let you in on my experiences. Vamos a Perú!
