How to use the Journals Site

Thank you for signing up to join the GVN Journal site. We hope that you find it a useful resource for keeping in touch with your friends and family while you are on your placement.

Please note that login names and passwords are case sensitive.

(1) Write A New Post

Click on “write post” to create a new post.

You can add images, video or audio using the “add media” section. All images will be automatically aligned to the right. The site will automatically scale down your photos – you can also use a site such as http://www.shrinkpictures.com/ to shrink

You can publish your post immediately, or save it to work on later.

(2) Manage

You can view and edit all of your past posts here.

(3) Comments

Due to the scale of the GVN journals site, comments on the blog have been disabled.

(4) Profile

When you first receive your journal account, we would appreciate it if you could add some short biographical information about yourself – something around 50-100 words would be ideal. You can also upload an image of yourself if you would like. Both your image and your profile will appear on the right hand bar of your posts, and on your profile page.
